Following successes with Jane Eyre (2010) and Opera Comique (2011), the BGT English Theatre Company is pleased to return with Noël Coward’s classic supernatural comedy Blithe Spirit.

Charles Condomine, a successful writer, is hap­pily married to his second wife, Ruth. For fun he arranges a séance with the eccentric spiritualist Madam Arcati. However, the result is that the ghost of Charles’ dead first wife, the fun-loving and mis­chievous Elvira, returns. But she is visible only to Charles. Her antics cause chaos in the Condomine house … and to make matters worse, she is determi­ned to stay and to win Charles back!

First presented in the 1940s, this farce - concer­ning one man, his wife… and a ghost! – is one of the most popular comedies of the 20th century.
